LEVI RESOURCE: Longmont Community Justice Partnership

Longmont Community Justice Partnership (LCJP) is a 501(c)3 agency in existence since 1994. The mission of LCJP is to cultivate attitudes, skills, and opportunities for living peacefully with self, others and the world. LCJP offers restorative justice services. Resorative justice is a process whereby the parties with a stake in a particular offense come together to resolve collectively how to deal with the aftermath of the offense and its implications for the future. LCJP's restorative justice services are provided for Longmont and the St. Vrain Valley School District and bring clear accountability for wrongdoing within a context of care and compassion. Through face to face, restorative processes, there is voice for victims, increased empathy by offenders, and empowerment of our community to solve its own problems.

Personnel
LCJP currently employs 6 staff, with 105 volunteers. Agency staff will be available to assist with domestic violence related restorative justice. Bilingual services are available.

Education
The agency currently has agency speakers to address the issues of violence prevention and restorative justice. Restorative justice brings together persons directly involved in criminal events to determine what harm has been done and what needs to be done to repair the harm. Brochures and packets are available on restorative justice practices.

Direct Services
Facilitation of restorative processes are held at LCJP office and the Safety and Justice Center. Processes are scheduled at the convenience of victims. Victims or offenders may initiate restorative justice services. Office hours are 9am until 5pm Monday-Friday.

Financial
Offenders are responsible for payment of $75. Financial assistance is available.

Support
LCJP conducts healing circles.
