LONGMONT COMMUNITY JUSTICE PARTNERSHIP
(LCJP) is a non-profit agency in existence for 12 years.
LCJP's mission is to provide restorative justice services
for Longmont
and the St. Vrain Valley School District that bring clear
accountability for wrongdoing within the context of care
and compassion. Through face to face, talking circle processes,
LCJP gives a voice to victims, increases empathy of offenders,
and empowers the community to solve its own problems. LCJP
serves the geographical jurisdiction of the City of Longmont
and the St. Vrain Valley School District.
Personnel
LCJP currently employs 2.5 3.5 career staff, with 45 volunteers.
Agency staff will be available to assist with domestic
violence related Restorative Justice. Bilingual services
are available.
Education
The agency currently has agency speakers to address the issues
of violence prevention and Restorative Justice. Restorative
justice brings together persons directly involved in criminal
events to determine what harm has been done and what needs
to be done to repair the harm. Brochures and packets are
available on Restorative Justice practices.
Direct Services
Facilitation of Restorative conferences and circles are held
by Longmont Community Justice Partnership. Conferences
are scheduled at the convenience of victims. Victims or
Offenders may initiate Restorative Justice services. Office
hours are 9am until 5:00pm Monday-Friday.
Financial
Offenders are responsible for payment of $50. A sliding scale
is available.
Support
LCJP does conduct healing circles.
