Protection (Restraining) Orders in Boulder County
If the court determines the case involves, “persons who are, or have been, involved in an intimate relationship,” court fees will be waived. However, you may still be required to pay a court packet fee that is currently $3.00. You may print this packet, free of charge, at www.courts.state.co.us (click on “self help center” on the left, once the next site page opens “protection orders”). The sheriff’s department will also waive the fees to serve a restraining order in the cases where “persons who are, or have been, involved in an intimate relationship”.
